The Encyclopedia of You.
With a Guide.
The Gatelines system is a Human Design based framework of how you work inside — built to help you understand yourself better.
You already know you have patterns in how you feel and operate. Certain ways you show up consistently, certain things that always pull at you, certain moments that always land the same way. Gatelines helps you to see and understand these patterns — the specific mechanics underneath them, mapped and explained in plain language.
The Gatelines | Report is the encyclopedia of your system's Gatelines: every activated Gateline in the design, each given its own chapter, documented in plain language. It is the complete, precise record of your design.
Gatelines | Guide is the guide to that encyclopedia, and more. It holds the full design and reads from those same chapters, so it never works from a thin summary — it can take you straight to what matters most and connect the pieces into something you can actually use. It is also a real Human Design expert in its own right: ask it anything about the Human Design detail of a design, and it will discuss it with clarity.
Gatelines | Transits bring the same Gateline-level reading to the present moment — the current planetary movement, seen through your design, specifically.
We believe the most helpful way to work with and view Human Design mechanics is from the Gatelines — the Gate-Line — level.
So what is a Gateline?
Begin with a single Gate, then view and discuss it through the lens of its Line, and then of its planetary influences. Put the three together — a Gate, through its specific Line, activated by its specific Planet — and you have a Gateline. A full design is made of many of them, and they don't sit in isolation: they connect, and the connections matter as much as the points themselves.
When two Gatelines link, they form a Channel; Channels group into Circuits — the larger currents that describe how energy actually travels through a design. And then Centers — the nine energy hubs of a design — are shaped by exactly which Gatelines feed into them.
A center isn't simply “defined” or “open.” It's colored by the specific Gatelines wired into it — which is why two people with the same defined center may feel its impacts very differently.
